Wait, what time is it?

This time change thing is going to kill me. It’s so early this year, I’m having trouble wrapping my brain around it. There were times yesterday that it felt like I’d lost the entire day, not just an hour. I’m sure it doesn’t help that my watch battery died on Saturday, so I couldn’t just look at my watch to see what time it was, but instead depended on a variety of clocks, some of which had been changed and some which hadn’t.
At one point I was sitting in Zachary’s with Keegan, thinking it was noon, when it was in fact, 1pm. “Wait, huh? Dang. The game is at 5. We’re gonna get home at 3:30 and I’m just gonna have to turn around and leave again…”
Then sitting at Nicky’s after the game- “Has that clock been changed or is it really almost 10? That can’t be right…” It really was almost 10, which in real time was only almost 9, but for whatever reason felt like midnight- we were all yawning and Nicky’s niece was actually dozing on the couch.
Waking up this morning I panicked that I hadn’t changed my clock, because it’s 7 which is actually 6 and it should still be dark outside… Quick check of my cell phone told me no, it’s really the time you think it is.
And did the weather fairy sort of go “Daylight savings time already? I better kick it into high gear!”? Because it’s gone from cold and gray in the mornings to sunny and beautiful, and last night when I went to bed, it was so warm in my room I had to open a window (my bedroom faces West and gets all the afternoon sun).
It’s going to be an interesting week…
