Everyone tells me the I was a bright little kid. And I pretty much believed them, until about 2 minutes ago. It was two minutes ago, that something in the song “Puff the Magic Dragon” finally made sense. The lines “Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff, And brought him strings and ceiling wax and other fancy stuff” always seemed weird to me. What is a little boy going to do with ceiling wax, and why would he give it to his dragon?
Well, in contemplating whether sealing wax was the next big trend in wedding invitations (I received two wax sealed invitations recently, for weddings one week apart) and all of a sudden, even though I haven’t thought of the song for years and years, suddenly it all made sense. SEALING wax, not CEILING wax. D’oh!

I think I knew that, but I dont think I had actually thought about it in a loooooong time. So many times, I stop and go “Doh, I knew that”, right after asking a really stupid question.
